The Running Easy approach

This isn’t about fast times. It’s about a Fun Time.

Most running programs are built by racers, for racers — all pace, PBs and trying harder. Running Easy is the opposite. It’s for ordinary people who want to run, feel alive, and actually enjoy the journey. You are not normal. You are extraordinary.

The one big idea

It’s not about your PB.
It’s about your PE.

Forget the Personal Best. Here we chase your Personal Enjoyment — the only score that keeps you running for life. As the book puts it: “The only time you are interested in is a Fun Time.”

Racers, Joggers… and Runners

There are three camps. Running Easy makes you the third.

Racers

Chase time, pace, PBs — trying harder. Most running programs are secretly racing programs.

Joggers

Plod along without a plan or a purpose, and often without much joy either.

Runnersthat’s you

Run for the experience — the fun, the health, the exhilaration. Trying EASIER, not harder. This is you.

What we live by

Try Easier

When it gets tough, the answer is never grit. Relax the body, free the mind, try easier. It’s the power of a feather to do what no hammer ever could.

Throw away your watch

No pace targets, no time goals — ever, for your first of any distance. Effort and feel are the only dials. If you can talk (or sing), you’re running it right.

Walking is part of running

We’re not really runners — we’re rulkers. Walk BEFORE you’re tired, not because you’re tired. Walk breaks aren’t failure; they’re the method.

Rest builds fitness

“Exercise breaks your body down. It is when you rest that you get fit.” Four runs a week, never more. The couch is doing real work.

The mind is half the sport

Thoughts become things. Picture the finish, run your own movie, reset when it wobbles. You cannot create your vision at the 35km mark — build it now.

Fun is a design requirement

Fun stops, scenery, rave runs, rewards. If it’s not fun — stop and change something. Joy is not a bonus here; it’s the whole point.

“Forget your watch — just look up, smile, dance, and raise your hands.”

If that sounds like the kind of running you want, you’re in the right place.
